It is one of the traditional, but less well known distilleries, and uses a special cooling technique during distillation: a copper ring with flowing water cools the neck of the still, which ensures a particularly pure, smooth new make spirit. The Fettercairn 12 Years was fully matured in American ex bourbon casks. This maturation
