It's very tight and with high density
Jacques Prieur, Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Vintage:2012 Drink in 2022(from young Chambertin vines planted in 1995). Once again, the nose is very ripe with its combination of wood, menthol, mocha and liqueur like aromas of plum and black cherry. There is reasonably good verve to the delicious middle weight flavors that terminate in a warm, grippy and slightly drying finish. This awkward effort is tough to read though I am concerned about the balance over the longer term.
