this is an excellent wine with outstanding development potential as it has the density to eventually absorb the prominent oak treatment but it’s enough to be annoyingly intrusive today

The mouthfeel of the broad-shouldered flavors is equally seductive and even sleeker but despite the generous midpalate there is solid muscle and a firm core of tannins supporting the powerful and driving finish

Discreet though still easily perceptible wood surrounds the spicier aromas of red berries, plum and violet. The more refined yet still appealingly punchy and more mineral driven flavors conclude in a moderately austere and somewhat attenuated if firm finale that cuts the length short. This may well better harmonize but it would be fair to observe that the balance isnt perfect.
