Thus, it had a high quality hyperdrive and was thus not dependent on a proximity of a transport ship during its missions. In addition to the high quality deflector shields, the TIE Advanced offered effective propulsion and heavy laser cannons, which made it an extremely dangerous, fearsome fighter.
