Aspidistra attenuata Alishan Broad Purple/Lavender Flowering Plants In late May and early(aka: Aspidistra daibuensis A1TW 355b) Aspidistra attenuata 'Alishan Broad' is our 2008 collection from 5,300' on Taiwan's Mt. Alishan. The 34" long x 4. 5" wide green leaves are lightly speckled yellow. The basal flowers, produced in early February (NC), are simply amazing resembling red jester caps with yellow tips and a yellow throat. Aspidistra make superb, easy to grow, low light house plants where they aren't winter hardy outdoors. Maintenance:
