Hard ruleDescription
this one combining the California native Agave shawii with the Texas native Manfreda longiflora
Aucuba japonica 'Honshu' makes a 4' tall x 6' wide compact clump in 10 years
Like its parent Hosta 'Spritzer'
as the name suggests
The 10" tall x 20" wide clumps of Carex 'Hime' have narrow leaves to about 6" long with thin green and white stripes
Freesia laxa Joan Evans Ligustrum this one combining the California(Aka: Anomatheca laxa, Lapeirousia laxa) Freesia laxa 'Joan Evans' is a delightful color variant of the typically scarlet red South African false freesia. The tiny green iris like foliage emerges in late winter, forming a small, but fast offsetting clump, topped, starting for us in April with lovely small white flowers, each highlighted with a dramatic red blotch. Dry soils in either part sun or part shade are best, and is a great rock garden plant.
