Hard ruleDescription
it was aged in a combination of medium size French oak barrels and Slavonian oak casks
Background notes of wood are discernible but stop short of being invasive as they still allow the restrained
Note that my conclusion assumes that the reduction displayed by the nose eventually dissipates with age
This is clearly built for extended aging and I would recommend not touching a bottle for at least a decade

Francois Bertheau, Bonnes Mares other_regions_australia it was aged in a(from a . 34 ha parcel located in 100% terres rouges). A background hint of wood easily allows the cool and equally pure essence of red currant, plum and violet scents to be appreciated. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the tautly muscular flavors that are also shaped by relatively fine grained tannins on the balanced and lingering finale. This is a Bonnes Mares of refinement and finesse that should age well on a base of balance.
