The jug portrays Abels brother Cain pummelling him to death on one side while the other side portrays his parents Adam and Eve grieving over his dead body. Edward Walley produced molded jugs as well as ironstone china at Cobridge, Staffordshire under the name Edward Walley from 1845 until 1856. It is stamp marked on the underside with a coat
