The bronze in the Orientalist manner & depicts a young slave girl and an Arab trader, the two figures standing on a rocky outcrop. He wearing a cold painted robe and she protecting her modesty with a garment. The statue is signed with Bergmann's initial "B" inside a twin handled urn, below are the letters "GESCH" an abbreviation for
