16100 Ecclesiastical History This book is concerned withOriginally published in 1885. Lyall was the pen name of Ada Ellen Bayly [1857 1903], a British novelist and early feminist. In the introduction to this novel she states she is trying to "describe the natural growth of a character" and has chosen a setting 200 years in the past. although she dreads calling it a historical novel. She does, however, combine real characters with her fictitious one. This edition, published in 1886, is covered in brown
