the Parafada was done partly in French oak

the fruit is ripe

the flavors are bright and floral

richer and more concentrated medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a refreshing and saliva-inducing finish despite the presence of a touch of warmth

Here the wonderfully fresh and pure nose of plum and black raspberry displays plenty of spice nuances, in particular star anise and sandalwood, along with a hint of crushed fennel. The medium bodied flavors are not quite as concentrated as those of the straight Vosne villages, though they are notably finer on the lingering, balanced and energetic finale.
