The jabot is flounced or ruffled and made of machine lace Im unsure of the material, probably synthetic, but maybe treated cotton or a blend. There is a snap at the back of the neck piece, but it is detached from one side. Im not sewing it back just in case you need to adjust its position for a better fit for your neck. The top
