Vintage Shai Blackface "Gasoline Alley" MCA Promotional T-Shirt R&B They followed it up quicklyShai, the Washington, DC based R&B group, released Blackface, their third album, in 1995. The group started five years earlier while they were still undergraduates at Howard University. They gave a local DJ a copy of an early song, and from their landed a record deal which resulted in a multi Platinum record. Blackface went to #42 on the Billboard charts.
