A rough rock, cut and polished on one side with a natural back and a cut base to stand on. Dimensions at widest points approximately 195 mm x 110 mm x 55 mm thick. Weighs 2,161 grams. Starry Jasper is a vibrant red jasper with intrusions of quartz veining along with splashes of silvery , metallic looking pyrite.( Almost no pyrite in this piece) It was collected many years ago from a large open cut gold mine at
