Our oldest plantings are more than a decade old, and in that time, have formed dense clumps. The 20" tall, thick stalks emerge for us in mid May, topped with huge, 7" full double, sweetly fragrant flowers with bicolor red and white flowers. Where they aren't winter hardy, they make superb container plants, as long as they are fed well when the foliage
