Polianthes 'Pink Sapphire'
The breeding line to produce this began in 1995
resulting in a dwarf daylily with dramatic foliage
Epimedium 'Lilac Cascade' is a 2001 Darrell Probst introduction

Dalea purpurea Panicum Polianthes 'Pink Sapphire'(aka: Petalostemon purpureum) Dalea, not to be confused with a poorly enunciated Dahlia, is a little known North American (most of the Central US) prairie native baptisia relative. The wiry 2' tall stalks, held at a 45 degree angle, are clothed with lacy fern like green foliage and topped from late spring through early summer with fascinating butterfly attracting purple flowers that resemble 2" long green pickles, each wearing a purple tutu.
