Founded in 1987 by Youth Of Today's Ray Cappo and Jordan Cooper, the label originally focused its efforts on documenting the hardcore scene in New York City. Ray and Jordan were both from Connecticut, and the label was based out of New Haven, but the scene was in the city, with bands like WarZone, Sick Of It All, Gorilla Biscuits, and more. Ray left and Jordan eventually moved the label to California, but along
