Difficult to read, but the piece is signed at the back with G. Van Vaerenbergh (1873 1927), a Belgian sculptor known for rendering female busts. His works were produced in various materials including plastic of Paris, such as this example. The workshop of A. Carli Freres of Schaerbeek, Belgium produced Van Vaerenberghs works as he was
