Sarracenia bellii Cardiocrinum sometimes reaching 4" wideSarracenia x bellii is a seed strain of a hybrid of Sarracenia leucophylla and Sarracenia rubra ssp. gulfensis, first named in 2008 by our late friend Larry Mellichamp in honor of the late NC botanist, Dr. C. Ritchie Bell. The specimen is based on very rare, naturally occurring plants in Santa Rosa County, Florida. Sarracenia x bellii is not the same as Sarracenia x readii, which is now recognized to be a cross of Sarracenia leucophylla x Sarracenia
