The serpentine shaped secretary is modeled as a semainier ( seven drawer chest), the feather banded rosewood case is sumptuously inlaid with floral fruitwood marquetry on the front and sides. The top has the original white Carrara marble, the secretary chest has very finely cast gilded bronze mounts, including a pair of crowned
