Henri Boillot, Clos Vougeot Vintage:2023 The 2012s from Diamond Creek(from a ~. 34 ha parcel in Grand Maupertuis). This plays right on the edge of volatile acidity with its nose of poached plum, black raspberry and warm earth. The middle weight flavors are not especially dense but do possess a highly attractive mouthfeel while displaying good power on the bitter cherry pit inflected finish. This moderately firm effort is somewhat awkward at present, but I suspect that it will recover with age.
